Adult Classes

Our adult classes lay the foundation for transformation by equipping, teaching and training adults to live biblically. These classes also are a great way to connect with other believers on Sunday mornings.

There are many classes that can help you take the next step in your spiritual journey. Below is a description of each. These classes begin Dec. 6 and continue through Feb. 28.

OC Core Classes

OC Core Classes are a 2-year cycle that help lay the foundation for a persons's spiritual growth & maturity.

Starting Point
Starting Point is a relaxed time of interaction and learning that is offered in a small group format where you will discover: 1) what the Bible is and how to understand it; 2) that the Bible can be trusted and is reliable; 3) how to remove hindrances that get in the way when reading and trying to understand the Bible; and 4) some answers to questions that you may have about the Christian faith. Starting Point will also give you a good overview of the Bible and what the Christian life is all about.

OC Sunday Classes

OC Sunday Classes have a dual purpose to help people grow spiritually & connect with other people in the church.

Christ the Fulfillment
If you were to choose a favorite Gospel, which would it be? Many in the earliest church would have chosen Matthew. Being the “most Jewish” of the four Gospels, Matthew was a natural favorite for the new Christians who came from a Jewish background. Jesus came into the world in a Jewish context. Thus, Matthew offers a perspective on Christ that we must not miss!

2 Samuel: When Two Bald Men Fight Over a Comb
Desensitization—Relaxation—Fixation—Rationalization—Degeneration are all stages that occur when a person drifts from God. Yet, God’s people are called to be overcomers! In the Book of II Samuel God has revealed the
devastation that results when such drift is left alone and how He can do great things when His people surrender to Him. Join us as we seek to develop the discipline of purity on our journey to being overcomers.

Some of these are funny moments and some are just completely honest moments that every parent can relate to. The other half will focus on the teen years. It will equip moms and dads to recognize common patterns, plan effective strategies, and build character.

2. Downtime—About having margins with our schedule
3. Quality vs. Quantity—About margins in our finances
4. Reordering Your Finances—Practical tips on having margins in finances
5. A Time to Run—About margins in our morality

Love and the Relationship Principles of Jesus
In this study, Rick Warren teaches that learning to love God and others is to be our highest goal, our greatest aim, our first priority, our deepest aspiration, our strongest ambition, our constant focus, our passionate intention and our dominant life value. The more we learn how to love authentically, the more we become like Jesus. Nothing matters more than relationships—and no one understands them better than Jesus. Based on an exhaustive study of what Jesus did and said about relationships, this study is a journey that will bring new health and richness to marriages, families, friendships, and all the relationships in our lives..
