Looking for a way to connect with others?
Interested in becoming part of a small group?
We are launching some new small group opportunities soon. Check out the list below for more information. We will have sign-up for the groups on Sunday, March 4, in the church lobby. More information is also available by contacting Pastor Mark Green at email@example.com.
Connection Groups are affinity/interest-based groups that meet once a month with a focus on building friendships through shared interest and a short devotional. New Connection Groups:
- Single Mothers
Facilitator: Mae Floyd 10:45 a.m. on Sunday morning
We understand how challenging being a single mother can be. We invite you to join us once a month to share, encourage and pray with other single mothers.
- Friday Night Ladies Connect
Facilitator: Marci South
Imagine a fun night that could range from trying new recipes to sharing a favorite book to bowling to crafts. This will be an active group that also takes some time to share their faith together as well.
- Game Night Connect
Facilitators: Jeff and Ann Yorty
If you enjoy playing board and card games and would like to connect with others who share this
interest this group is for you. Older children who can participate are welcome.
- Ladies Book Club
Facilitator: Sarah Lohman
Meet new friends as you share the joy of talking about what you have read together. We will have a meet and greet on Friday March 16, at 6 p.m. at Sarah’s home in Chambersburg. Dinner will be provided. Meeting specifics (day, time, location) will be flexible and determined by the group. We will also choose a book that night.
Discipleship Groups are study-based groups that meet twice a month with a focus on becoming more like Christ. This groups may require study between group meetings.
- Thom Horne Group
This twice-a-month study will work together to choose a subject to study and determine optimal
meeting and location times. It will be a chance to grow in Christ and together with other Christians.
- Sandy Krieger Women’s Group
Being a Christian is a statement about what Christ has done for me; being a disciple is a statement about what I am doing for Christ. The object of this small group is to aid in our growth as disciples of Jesus. We will use Discipleship Essentials: A Guide to Building Your Life in Christ by Greg Ogden. There are 25 chapters. For optimum benefit, a group will be limited to four women and will meet twice a month for 1.5 hours to review chapter assignments, share and pray. Once you’ve signed up, we will determine time and location together.
