Otterbein Collecting School Supplies

Otterbein Church partners with Waynesboro Community and Human Services, an agency that assists low income families in our community. Each fall, the agency provides school supplies at the beginning of the school year to children in need. We are collecting items in the church lobby to be given for this special project. It is a great way for us to make a difference in Jesus’ name in our local community. All items donated need to be NEW.

You can also provide a cash donation that will be given to Waynesboro Community and Human Services if you would prefer doing that instead of dropping off supplies. Make the check payable to Otterbein Church and put it in an offering envelope with the words SCHOOL SUPPLIES written on it, and we will see the agency receives the money.

All supplies are needed by August 6. Here is a list of requested items:

  • New or Gently Used Clothing – Jeans, Shorts, Shirts, Sweatshirts, Sweaters, Skirts, Dresses
  • Toiletries: Bars of Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant, Toothpaste

Please Note:

  • No permanent markers
  • Lanyards are needed by all middle and high school students
  • All elementary schools ask for earbuds for all grades
  • Dry erase markers tend to run out mid-distribution
  • All students need backpacks
