Youth - High School

High School Ministry (Grades 9–12)

AMDiscovery

(Sunday 9:15–10:45 a.m. Youth Ministry Center)
AMDiscovery is Shift Student Ministry’s High School program. The purpose of AMDiscovery is to provide a creative and engaging environment specifically for High School aged teens. AMDiscovery usually includes time to connect with other teens, a high energy game or activity, worship, and teaching. Following a compelling and student-relevant presentation from God’s Word, students then move into small groups with others their same age and gender for an application-oriented discussion.

CREW

CREW groups are small groups that give Shift’s students the opportunity to deeply connect with others who are serious about their relationship with Jesus. These groups meet during the week, outside of Shift’s regularly scheduled programs. CREW is a time where teens can meet with an adult leader and their peers for study, prayer, and accountability. Please contact Chris Pratt, Shift’s Director of Youth Ministries, for more information about CREW.

High School Youth Choir

(6–7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sanctuary)
This group is for students in grades 9 through 12 and exists to develop and appreciate the instrumental and vocal talents God has given them. They sing occasionally during morning worship and occasionally present musical productions through the year.

Youth Praise Team

One of the goals of Shift Student Ministries is to enabling teens to genuinely worship God. We do this through student lead contemporary worship. The Praise Team is for teens who desire to lead their peers in worship. Please contact Devon Houpt  for more information about getting involved in the High School Praise Team.

Events

In addition to Shift’s regularly scheduled programs, students can also participate in multiple big events held throughout the calendar year. It is our desire to create events that students genuinely enjoy, and provide an environment where teens can connect with others, grow spiritually, and engage in ministry.
